Benin Airport runway closure disrupts airline operations
UNITED Nigeria Airlines has joined Air Peace in suspending flights to and from Benin Airport due to its closure by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) following a runway excursion involving an Enugu Air aircraft.
The airline confirmed that all operations are canceled until the runway reopens. United Nigeria Airlines has apologized to affected passengers, encouraging them to contact customer service for rebooking.
They expressed commitment to passenger welfare and requested public patience as authorities work to resume normal operations.
The incident, involving an Enugu Air flight, resulted in no injuries, and an investigation by the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau is ongoing.
