Nigeria and Spain are seeking to unlock greater opportunities in trade and investment as both countries look to strengthen their economic partnership.
Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Okezie Ikpeazu, said existing bilateral agreements should be reviewed and revitalised to reflect current economic realities.
Speaking after presenting his Letters of Credence to King Felipe VI in Madrid, Ikpeazu identified improved air connectivity as a key priority, citing its potential to facilitate tourism, business travel and trade.
He also called for stronger collaboration between government institutions and the private sector in areas including energy, infrastructure, agriculture and investment.
The ambassador said the Nigerian Embassy would work with Spanish stakeholders and the Nigerian community to translate existing bilateral goodwill into tangible economic opportunities.
