AN Aero Contractors flight from Lagos to Abuja returned to Lagos shortly after takeoff due to a reported technical issue.

The flight, which departed at 7:30 a.m., expressed passenger anxiety as the cabin temperature rose.

The crew did not disclose the exact nature of the fault but announced the return for safety reasons.

Following the safe landing, passengers were evacuated without injuries and later boarded another aircraft to continue to Abuja.

This incident follows another recent emergency return by a Max Air flight due to technical faults, and heightened scrutiny of airline safety in Nigeria has arisen following a runway excursion involving an Enugu Air aircraft. These events underscore concerns about operational reliability in the nation’s aviation sector.
