CHIEF Executive Officer of Aero Contractors Captain Ado Sanusi has emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between the Federal Government and private sector operators in Nigeria’s aviation industry to unlock its potential and foster economic growth.
During a visit by Hadiza Bala Usman, the Presidential Adviser on Policy Coordination, insights were shared on enhancing government support for indigenous aviation companies.
The tour included an inspection of Aero Contractors’ Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility, recognized as a vital asset.
Sanusi highlighted the importance of direct engagement between policymakers and industry stakeholders to promote sustainable development, operational efficiency, and greater contribution to the economy.
He expressed optimism regarding the influence of dedicated public officials like Bala Usman on the future of Nigeria’s aviation sector.
The visit allowed Aero Contractors to showcase its technical capabilities and commitment to excellence in aviation services, which are crucial for fortifying local technical capacity and reducing dependence on foreign facilities.
Industry observers believe that enhanced collaboration between the government and private aviation operators may bolster local technical capabilities, lessen reliance on foreign maintenance services, conserve foreign currency, and establish Nigeria as a regional hub for aircraft maintenance and aviation engineering.
