Exporters bemoan lingering National Single Window glitchesÂ

MORE than three months into the rollout of Nigeria’s National Single Window (NSW), stakeholders have expressed disappointment due to ongoing technical issues, system downtimes, and incomplete integration of key participants.
Initially launched to streamline trade by linking government agencies, importers, and exporters, the platform’s objectives remain largely unmet. Exporters report operational challenges, with frequent system maintenance disrupting their activities.
Shipping companies are not fully onboarded, with unresolved technical gaps hindering completion. Though the system has improved its capacity to process cargo manifests, industry players warn that without urgent government intervention to address these issues, the NSW may not achieve its goal of enhancing Nigeria’s trade efficiency.
