NORTHERN European shipments are expected to arrive at Lekki port within 15 days as global shipping giant CMA CGM launched a new direct shipping service for Nigerian importers, linking Northern Europe to Lekki port and other locations in West Africa.
The new initiative, KORA EXPRESS service, is designed to reduce transit times to Nigeria, Ghana, and the Benin Republic to 15 days.
Lekki Deep Seaport has been a leader in cargo traffic in Nigeria, currently operating at nearly 50% capacity.
CMA CGM is also restructuring its EURAF 5 service to focus on the southern West African corridor, providing comprehensive service coverage and faster solutions for cargo transport.
“Together, these services deliver dedicated, optimised coverage across West Africa, with faster and more tailored solutions for cargo,” the company said.
