THE Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has inaugurated a new Museum at the Nigerian Maritime Resource Development Centre in Lagos, aimed at promoting Nigeria’s maritime heritage.
The facility, commissioned by Mrs. Aisha Jidda on behalf of NIMASA’s Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, serves as a national repository for various maritime artefacts and records.
Dr. Mobereola emphasized the museum’s role in education, research, and preserving Nigeria’s maritime history.
He encouraged students, researchers, and the public to visit and learn about the significance of Nigeria’s maritime sector in trade and economic growth, aligning with NIMASA’s mission to enhance maritime awareness and capacity building for future professionals.
