Former Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. General Joshua Nimyel Dogonyaro, is dead. He died Thursday at the age of 80 at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), Jos.
A family source confirmed it, saying “the General died in the early hour of today (Thursday) at Jos University Teaching Hospital where he was admitted after a brief illness”
He added that his remains had been deposited at the Airforce Hospital in Jos.
His aide, Major Gabriel Adofiku (rtd), also confirmed his death, saying “he died today at about 3:30 am.”
