SIERRA Leone’s government has suspended the $25 airport security levy at Freetown International Airport, effective July 6, 2026.
The Ministry of Transport and Aviation stated that this suspension aims to lower domestic prices, ease travel times, and improve the business environment, aligning Sierra Leone with international aviation standards.
This decision comes as President Maada Bio prepares for the upcoming ECOWAS Heads of State Summit, reflecting his desire to leave a legacy before his term ends.
