PASSENGERS at Lagos and Abuja airports have been stranded due to labour unions picketing Air Peace airline outlets for failing to remit the ticket sales charge (TSC) to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and violating workers’ rights.

From 5 am on Tuesday, passengers were barred from boarding flights, leading to frustration shared on social media.

The Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN) and the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) issued a 14-day ultimatum over non-remittance of the TSC, a statutory levy on airline tickets.
