Globacom Premier Premier League week two matches produced yet another mix-bag of results. Unlike the kickoff fixture which saw newly promoted clubs stealing the show, last weekend saw the likes of Kwara United, Nasarawa United, Sunshine stars and Rangers, alongside the reigning champion, Kano Pillars picking maximum points at home.
But the best performance of the match day two was produced by FC Taraba, who defeated Akwa United by a lone goal in Uyo. FC Taraba remains the only club to have garnered maximum six points after the week two, although some clubs have played one game less. The question remains will the Jalingo based club continue its trail blazing form to week three or fizzle out?
Kwara United 2-1 El-Kanemi Warriors.
Nasarawa United 2-0 Wikki Tourists.
Akwa United 0-1 FC Taraba.
Sunshine Stars 2-1 Gabros Int’l
Rangers 2-1 Sharks FC.
Shootings Stars 1-2 Heartland.
Kano Pillars 2-0 Bayelsa United.
