MultiChoice Nigeria has renewed its partnership with Hit 95.9 FM for the 10th consecutive year, reaffirming its support for the Calabar Entertainment Conference & Festival (CECF), one of Nigeria’s platforms for the creative and entertainment industries.

The 10th edition of CECF is scheduled to hold on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, 2026, in Calabar, Cross River State.

The event, which evolved into a two-day festival in 2024, brings together entertainment professionals, creatives, young people and industry stakeholders for discussions, networking and entertainment.

The first day will feature keynote addresses, panel sessions, masterclasses and networking opportunities, while the second day will focus on the festival experience, featuring live music, food, games and other entertainment activities.

Speaking on the renewed partnership, Executive Producer of CECF and CEO of Hit FM, Patrick Ugbe, said MultiChoice’s decade-long support has been an important part of the event’s growth.

He said the partnership had helped CECF develop into a platform where industry conversations translate into collaborations and where talents can connect with opportunities.

According to Ugbe, the continued partnership reflects a shared commitment to the growth of Nigeria’s creative industry.

Also commenting on the renewal, Tope Oshunkeye, Senior Vice President, Communications, MultiChoice Nigeria, said the company was pleased to continue its association with the festival.

Oshunkeye said the partnership provides an opportunity to strengthen MultiChoice’s regional engagement while supporting the development of Nigeria’s creative sector.

He added that the company’s continued support reflects its commitment to platforms that empower creative talents and contribute to the growth of the country’s entertainment ecosystem.

Over the years, MultiChoice has invested in local content, talent development, production and storytelling across Africa, while CECF has provided a platform for industry professionals and emerging creatives to exchange ideas and build connections.

The 2026 edition is expected to further position Calabar as a destination for creative exchange, entertainment business and cultural tourism, while providing opportunities for stakeholders to connect and engage with developments in Nigeria’s creative economy.
