The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on Sept. 18, 2026, issued Authorization Letters and Official Stamps to nine Designated On-the-Job Training (OJT) Supervisors at its Examination Hall in Abuja to strengthen safety oversight and regulatory standards.
The supervisors are Joshua Onoja, Fumami Mashaba and Banire AbdulLateef of Value Jet; Fadoju Temiloluwa, Audu Thomas Tinat, Comfort Ayhok and Yakubu Abba Aliyu of Rano Air; and Charles Dogara Mallam and Mohammed Jafar Liman of Aero Tak.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Operations, Licensing and Training Standards (DOLTS), Capt. Donald Spiff, said the presentation was an important regulatory requirement and a safety-critical responsibility.
Spiff said the exercise was in line with the All-Operators’ Notice dated March 22, 2024, ICAO Annex 1 on Personnel Licensing and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs), Part 2.6.
He noted that the Nigerian aviation industry was growing rapidly, adding that the expansion placed greater responsibility on stakeholders to maintain high standards of safety, professionalism and regulatory compliance.
Spiff charged the designated OJT Supervisors, whom he described as the “eyes of the NCAA”, to carry out their duties with integrity, diligence and fairness while adhering strictly to applicable regulations and standards. He said their selection was based on their experience, qualifications, professional competence and compliance history.
