According to him, Synlube 5W 40 is a supreme performance passenger car motor-oil formulated from the finest quality synthetic base stocks and state-of-the-art additive technology.
He added that the lubricant has been developed for all modern turbocharged, high output gasoline and diesel engines of passengers’ cars, SUVs, light vans and trucks. The lubricant has been designed to deliver long service life; minimises deposit in engine and turbocharger to ensure rated engine power and torque.
Otudeko was emphatic that the product was also designed to exceed the latest industry specifications and the car manufacturers’ service fill requirements. “Honeywell Synlube 5W 40 has outstanding thermo-oxidative stability that reduces deposits and sludge build-up, elongates engine life, improves fuel economy, delivers extended drain internal and reduces the cost of ownership,” he said.
Mr. Emmanuel Ekpenyong, Plant Manager, Honeywell Oil and Gas Limited, said the product’s extended low temperature fluidity aids quick cold start and provides adequate wear protection at start-up. He explained that its outstanding stay-in-grade performance ensures reliable lubrication even at higher load and operating temperatures. Other good qualities of the product include its superior anti-wear technology which provides excellent wear protection under all conditions with its active cleaning agents ensuring maximum engine cleanliness.
Ekpenyong pointed out that the Synlube 5W 40 exceeds the requirements of most modern European, North American and Japanese passenger cars including gasoline powered racing cars, saying that based on available toxicological information, the product produces no adverse effects on health when properly handled and used. “No special precautions are suggested beyond attention to good personal hygiene, including laundering oil-soaked clothing and washing skin contact areas with soap and water,” he said.
