Just few days after he was removed from office as the director general of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Patrick Akpobolokem, seems to be in trouble.
Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have stormed the Procurement Department of the NIMASA in what is seen as the commencement of the probe of Akpobolokemi.
Usually authoritative sources said that the EFCC operatives have been at the agency since Monday grilling staff and collecting relevant documents.
Akpobolokemi alongside the agency’s Director of Shipping Development, Capt. Warredi Enisuoh have also been asked by the anti-graft body to appear before it to explain their roles in the agency’s finances.
