President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday announced the appointments of Mr Femi Adesina and Mallam Garba Shehu as his spokesmen in his first wave of cabinet appointments.
Mr. Adesina, who is the current President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) and the Managing Director/Editor M in M Chief of The Sun Newspapers, will serve as Special Adviser (Media and Publicity).
On the other hand, Mallam Shehu will serve as the President’s Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity). Mallam Shehu who served as the Director, Media and Publicity of the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was the President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors 16 years ago.
President Buhari has also approved the appointment of Lawal Abdullahi Kazaure as the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP). Kazaure is a career Foreign Service official and currently serves in Aso Rock Villa as a Special Assistant (Presidential Matters).
