Former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Joshua Dariye, and former Taraba State Governor, Jolly Nyame, and two others have been released from prison. The Council of State, led by President Muhammadu Buhari had on April 14 approved the pardon of the convicts. Both former governors were serving jail term for corruption allegations. The two former governors, who are members of the All Progressives Congress, were convicted by Justice Adebukola Banjoko of the Abuja High Court in 2018. Dariye and Nyame were both jailed for stealing N1.16bn and N1.6bn, respectively. This is a developing story
