Former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni has rediscovered his scoring prowess with a sensational hat-trick for his Turkish club, Kayserispor in a Turkish Cup championship on Tuesday.
The former Everton and Portsmouth Fcs of England attacker netted twice in the first half and once in the second half to power his side to a 7-2 victory over Sariyer in a third round contest decided at Yusuf Ziya Önis Stadyumu.
Aiyegbeni’s first goal on 13 minutes gave Kayserispor the lead while his second, seven minutes later increased the tally to 3-0 after Sinan Bakis had netted the game’s second goal on the quarter hour. The 33-year old completed his hat-trick with a 72nd minute penalty. Yakubu had played eight league matches so far this season without a goal, opening his account in grand-style.
