At the 58th Annual (Hybrid) Conference of the Science Association of Nigeria, 2026 held at the Lagos Airport Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos. The event featured discussions on the blue economy, public health, and sustainable urban planning.

Tokunbo Wahab in his keynote speech emphasize the timeliness of addressing climate challenges, flooding, and sustainable urban planning in coastal cities like Lagos. “Wahab described this year’s conference theme as timely, noting that the blue economy extends beyond oceans, ports and fisheries to encompass sustainable economic growth.”

The Permanent Secretary of the Office of Environment Services, Mr. Omobolaji Tajudeen opening remark, he highlighting Lagos State’s push for innovation-driven governance. “The Permanent Secretary, Office of Environment Services, Mr Omobolaji Tajudeen in his remarks, described the hosting of the prestigious conference as a testament to Lagos State’s unwavering commitment to Science
