The Ogun State Government has condoled with the family of a hotelier, Mr Kehinde Ibidunni, who was killed by gunmen on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, alongside his wife, Elizabeth.
Kehinde and Elizabeth were shot dead by three suspected assassins, who forced their way into the hotelier’s apartment in Atan-Ota, Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.
The couple were said to have been gunned down by the gunmen, who had earlier used a tool to cut the burglar-proof bars of a window of one of the rooms in the bungalow.
Sympathising with the family of the couple in a condolence letter on Saturday, the state Commissioner for Tourism, Dr Oluwatoyin Taiwo, said the thoughts of the state government were with the family members during their trying times.
Taiwo prayed for the protection of the entire family and for the souls of the departed to rest in peace.
The condolence letter read, “It is with great sadness that I write to your family on behalf of the Ogun State Government, the management and the entire staff of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on the unfortunate demise of your beloved family members, late Mr Kehinde Ibidunni, and his wife, the CEO of Progress Hotel, Atan-Ota, Ogun State.
“Please, know that our thoughts are with you during this trying time and it is our prayers that the Almighty God will strengthen and keep the entire members of the family safe from all harm.
“May the souls of the dear departed rest in peace. May the Lord grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and comfort you. Accept our deepest condolences.” ,,
