The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) under the current leadership of Engr. Jani Ibrahim FNSE, OON, has officially launched the secure digital application portal for the highly anticipated ODDO BHF SE Offshore Investment Financing Facility, marking a major milestone in the digitisation of foreign direct investment (FDI) origination for Nigeria’s Organised Private Sector (OPS).
The unveiling took place during a special feature presentation at INFRACON 2026, held at the AFRIEXIM Tower in Lagos, underscoring NACCIMA’s commitment to leveraging digital innovation to unlock long-term investment for Nigerian businesses.
The digital application portal and the operational framework for the financing facility were jointly presented by Dr Waheed Olagunju, Chairman of the NACCIMA–ODDO Working Group Committee, a former MD of Bank of Industry and Dr Segun H. Olugbile, NACCIMA’s Digital Economy Coordinator and Chairman of the Digital Economy Trade Group.
The financing facility, established in partnership with ODDO BHF SE, a leading commercial banking group headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, is designed to provide long-term expansion capital at single-digit interest rates to qualified Nigerian enterprises. Priority sectors include Manufacturing, Agro-Allied Processing, Energy, and Logistics, while 20 per cent of the facility has been specifically reserved for the Digital Economy and ICT sector.
Speaking during the unveiling, Dr Waheed Olagunju emphasised that the initiative has been built on a transparent and globally competitive governance framework.
“What we are launching today is a transparent, globally aligned investment origination pipeline. The Joint NACCIMA–ODDO Committee has developed a rigorous framework that enables viable, ESG-compliant Nigerian enterprises to access patient capital with a minimum financing of US$10 million for the acquisition of European machinery, equipment, and technology needed to scale their operations. We are commencing with a pilot phase to validate the model before expanding nationwide.”
Presenting the digital platform, Dr Olagunju highlighted the portal’s advanced security architecture, data protection framework, and seamless integration into NACCIMA’s digital transformation agenda.
“To attract world-class European investment, our digital infrastructure must inspire absolute confidence and trust. This secure e-Portal has been developed with bank-grade encryption and is fully compliant with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. It automates Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification, integrates the secure Trustmark framework, and ensures that the proprietary financial information of applicants remains fully protected throughout the transaction process from Lagos to Frankfurt.”
Key Features of the ODDO BHF SE Offshore Expansion Financing Facility include a minimum financing amount of US$10 million per qualified applicant. Technology Transfer Requirement: Between 35% and 50% of the approved financing must be dedicated to the acquisition of European machinery, industrial equipment, technology, or specialised technical services. Eligibility Requirements cover a minimum of three (3) years of audited financial statements, demonstrable financial strength and repayment capacity, compliance with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards, including verified membership of NACCIMA or any affiliated Business Membership Organisation (BMO).
The NACCIMA ODDO BHF Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) e-Portal is set to go live from next week and officially open to eligible corporate organisations across Nigeria.
The Joint Working Group has established a 60-day implementation timeline to identify, evaluate, and recommend the first fifteen investment-ready companies for final credit assessment and approval by ODDO BHF SE in Germany.
Qualified Chief Executive Officers, Managing Directors, Chief Financial Officers, and corporate executives are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria and commence the secure online application process without delay.
