The deadline for collecting Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) has been extended by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) until Sunday, January 29, 2023.
INEC had set the deadline for the collection of voters cards as Sunday, January 22, 2023.
However, after a meeting on Thursday, INEC declared that the deadline had been extended by eight days.
In a statement, Festus Okoye, the national commissioner for INEC, stated: “The Commission is committed to ensuring that registered voters have plenty of opportunity to obtain their PVCs ahead of the upcoming election.
“The period for PVC collection has been extended by eight days as a result.
“The collection of PVCs will last until Sunday, January 29, 2023, rather than concluding on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Currently, collection hours are Monday through Friday from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, including weekends.”
