A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday granted bail to the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Publicity Secretary, Olisah Metuh following commencement of his trial over alleged involvement in the misappropriation of $2.1 billion arms procurement funds.
Justice Okon Abang ordered Metuh who is standing trial for allegedly receiving N400 million from the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki, through his company Destry Nigeria Limited, to produce a bail bond of N400 million and two sureties in the sum of N200 million each.
Mr. Metuh has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for about two weeks.
Dasuki is currently on trial for allegedly misappropriating the arms fund.
