Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE)

Trading on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) closed on a negative note on Thursday as the All Share Index depreciated 0.57 per cent to close at 30,025.62 points against 0.42 per cent lost yesterday to close at 30,199.15 points.

Market Capitalization also lost N59.636 billion to close at N10.319 trillion against N43.290 billion lost yesterday to close at N10.378 trillion.

All sectoral Indices declined in today’s transaction except the NSE Oil and Gas Index which gained 0.8 per cent to close at 366.34 points, while the NSE ASeM Index remained flat.

Today, a total of 284.117 million shares worth N2.818 billion were exchanged by investors in 2,962 deals in contrast to 207.480 million shares worth N3.439 billion exchanged by investors in 2,767 deals yesterday.

Oando Plc led 17 equity gainers with a 53 kobo or 5.37 per cent gain to close at N10.40 per share, followed by Betaglas Plc which added N2.15 or 5.00 per cent to close at N45.15 per share, while Cutix Plc added 8 kobo or 5.00 per cent to close at N1.68 per share.

Honeywell Flour Plc gained 13 kobo or 4.87 per cent to close at N2.80 per share, while Diamond Bank Plc increased 12 kobo or 4.21 per cent to close at N2.97 per share.

On the other hand, Okomuoil Plc led 26 equity losers as it decreased N3.47 or 9.74 per cent to close at N32.16 per share followed by Guinness Plc which depreciated N8.60 kobo or 5.70 per cent to close at N142.20 per share, while Cadbury Plc lost N1.10 or 5.00 per cent to close at N20.90 per share.

Evans Medical Plc declined 3 kobo or 4.92 per cent to close at 58 kobo per share, while Unilever Plc dropped N1.98 or 4.42 per cent to close at N42.85 per share.
