Egypt’s investment forum panel discussed opportunities for increased trade with Africa, with Dr. Sherif El Gabaly highlighting lessons for strengthening agricultural self-sufficiency.

Egyptian business leaders, including Pharco Pharmaceuticals CEO Sherine Helmy, highlighted the importance of political will and commitment in reducing hepatitis treatment costs in Egypt.

Jumia Egypt’s CEO, Abdelatif Olama, highlighted the company’s robust brand recognition in Africa. “We thrive because we are African. We benefit from growing in a big and growing population, from the growing urbanisation that happens from a growing middle class,” he said.

Mohamed Taher, Senior Business Development Manager at Hassan Allam Construction, discussed ongoing construction projects and potential collaborations, while Marc Soueha highlighted manufacturing commercial vehicles in the African market.
