Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, has reacted to reports that he is scheming against Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Tinubu.
Unconfirmed reports had been rife on the social media that the CBN Governor recently launched a fresh plot against Asiwaju Tinubu.
But in a swift response on Monday, 13 March, 2023, Emefiele has come out to totally debunk the report and state categorically that he never planned such.
The report claimed that the CBN Governor already gave out a specific amount of money to a governorship candidate ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election.
In the statement released by Nigeria’s apex bank, the CBN noted that Emefiele does not know Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, either in person or proxy.
