DisCos collected N603.64bn in Q2 2026 despite lower supply, NERC’s Q2 report shows, with average offtake falling 3.4% to 3,197.03MWh/h from 3,309.48MWh/h in Q1.
They received 6,982.32GWh but billed 5,812.31GWh (83.24% accounting efficiency), billing N744.67bn from N946.57bn worth of energy taken (78.67% billing efficiency).
Collection efficiency rose to 81.06% from 78.95% in Q1, but N141.03bn billed was uncollected; weighted average ATC&C loss was 36.23%, 19.31pp above MYTO target of 16.92%, costing N129.07bn.
All DisCos missed ATC&C targets, with Kaduna worst at 67.70% actual vs 18.18% target; cumulative upstream invoice was N410.38bn (N326.46bn NBET + N83.92bn MO), of which N385.44bn was remitted (93.92% remittance).
FG covered ∼50% of generation costs (N321.26bn) via tariff freeze subsidies; international bilateral customers paid $8.67m of $18.84m invoiced (46.02%), while domestic bilaterals paid N6.91bn of N7.55bn (91.54%).
