The Chairman Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mai Mala Buni has regained full control of the party machinery after the confusing events of the last one week where Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello of Niger State announced himself as the acting chairman of the party which led to wild speculations about the status of Mai Mala Buni and the CECPC.
In a Press Release signed by the Secretary General of the Party Senator John Akpanudedehe, the Buni-led CECPC while addressing the recent happenings in the party used the opportunity to announce the constitution of the various committees for the 2022 APC National Convention. With the announcement of this Committee, the earlier one announced by Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello has been disbanded.
According to the release a copy of which The Economy received, the CECPC assured the members and stakeholders of the party that there is no crisis within their fold, and that the APC is strong, united in giving Nigeria the transformative leadership and good governance it deserves which she promised them.
