Respected publisher and APC chieftain, High Chief Ikechi Emenike has emerged as the winner of the Abia State All Progressives Congress governorship primary election.

The election, which held in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, today was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). All the 920 party delegates from the 184 wards of Abia State participated in the election.

Announcing the results, Chief Tonie Obiefuna, Chairman of Abia State APC Governorship Primary Election Committee, declared Chief Ikechi Emenike as the winner with a total of 672 votes.
