AGUATA – Dr. Okechukwu Okoye, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, has been kidnapped.
The lawmaker popularly known as Okey Di Okay was kidnapped around 6:00pm on Sunday, the almost same time a police officer was shot dead in the same local government, Aguata.
Hon Okoye, who represents Aguata North is from Isuofia, the same community as the governor of the state, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
Though details of his kidnap are still sketchy, it was however gathered that the lawmaker was whisked away from his black Sienna space bus within his constituency.
