The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is reportedly being economical with the truth regarding the status and contractual agreement with Gernot Rohr, according to a close confidant of the German.
Though the NFF claimed there was no severance package in case both parties part company as it’s widely speculated, the source questioned the veracity of such stand, adding the NFF should clearly read between the lines.
“There have been a lot of speculations lately in the media space but how true are some of the things being peddled around,” the source who is privy to the contract between the NFF and Rohr said.“ Is the NFF saying that Rohr doesn’t have a valid contract till December 2022?
“Are they saying they are not owing him five months’ salary? Have they paid allowances due to him, his assistants and even the players?”
He further said it’s regrettable that the NFF has forgotten the good job that Rohr had done in recent past, adding it’s totally untrue that the Super Eagles have ‘regressed’ under Rohr :
