Despite expecting a difficult test against Senegal in their opening game at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso is optimistic Nigeria will triumph.
Bosso’s team will face the Young Terangha Lions on February 19 at the Cairo International Stadium.
Hosts Egypt and Mozambique are the other countries in the group.
“Senegal will be the most difficult match for us because I have not seen them and they’ve not seen us play, though we need to know how to manage the situation and I am sure we will conquer them.” Bosso told BSN Sports.
The Flying Eagles resume camping for the competition in Abuja on Monday.
The team will embark on training tour to Morocco at the end of this month.
The competition will run from February 19 to March 11.
