Brown Ideye, Anthony Ujah, Babatunde Michael, John Ugochukwu Ogu and Leon Balogun have been recalled to the Super Eagles squad for the international friendly matches against Bolivia and South Africa next week. According to a list of 28 players announced by the Super Eagles’ ‘out-of-contract’ assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi, in form striker, Jude Odion Ighalo of Watford got his first senior team call-up. The squad is made up of 18 foreign based and 10 home based players. Victor Moses was included as a standby player.
Conspicuously missing from the squad are regular players such as John Mikel Obi of Chelsea who is still out injured; Ikechukwu Uche, Emmanuel Emenike, Austin Ejide, Elderson Echiejile and Efe Ambrose.
Super Eagles is billed to play against Bolivia on Thursday, March 26 in Uyo before playing South Africa in Nelspruit on March 29.
