The quartet of Jamilu Collins, Chigozie Awaziem, Daniel Akpeyi, and Chidera Ejuke were the early birds at the Super Eagles camp in Lagos ahead of the World Cup qualifying match against the Central Africa Republic, (CAR).
The Super Eagles Media Officer, Babafemi Raji, said that the quartet were the first players to report to camp in Lagos, adding Chidera Ejuke was the first to arrive with the subsequent arrivals of Awaziem, Collins, and Akpeyi.
More players are expected in the camp as at last night with further arrivals of Samuel Kalu, Taiwo Awoniyi, Paul Onuachu and Kelvin Akpoguma as the team square up against the Wild Beasts of CAR in a double-header Qatar 2022 World Cup race.
Super Eagles will host the first leg on Thursday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos while the return leg will hold three days later on Sunday in Douala, a coastal city in southwest Cameroon.
The match on Thursday will kick off at 4 pm Nigeria time.
Super Eagles top Group C of the qualifying race with six points from two matches while their Thursday’s foes are bottom with a point from two matches.
