The Office of the Lagos State Lands Bureau has created a dedicated Help Desk for uncompleted applications for those who have applied for Certificates of Occupancy (CoO) but whose completion process is been delayed due to the absence of essential documents.
The Permanent Secretary in the Office of Lands Bureau, Mr. Bode Agoro disclosed this recently while briefing the media, he noted that, this has become necessary considering the avalanche of uncompleted and abandoned applications associated with non-submission of vital information and essential documents by the applicants.
He reiterated the commitment of the present administration towards prompt signing and release of Certificates of Occupancy to applicants, thereby ensuring that, they have official documents of their landed properties.
While imploring all applicants with outstanding applications in the Bureau to take advantage of the new initiative by the state government, Agoro emphasised that with the creation of the Help Desk, it is expected that all the backlog of uncompleted applications for Certificates of Occupancy will soon be cleared.
The Permanent Secretary also revealed that, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has already signed and approved the release of 3,200 Certificates of Occupancy between September, 2015 and November, 2015.
