Nigeria’s striker, Brown Ideye has completed his switch from West Bromwich Albion to Olympiakos of Greece in a transfer deal reportedly worth £4million.
Ideye who became West Brom’s record signing when he joined from Dynamo Kiev for £10million in 2014 has endured torrid spell at the Midland club.
The 26-year-old struggled for consistent form last season, scoring just seven goals in 31 total appearances for the Hawthorns.
Having managed just one Premier League goal before Tony Pulis arrived as Albion boss at the turn of the year, Ideye had been set to sign for Qatar-based club Al-Gharafa on the final day of the January transfer window, only for the deal to fall through.
He then netted four times in his next three appearances for the club to spark hope of a successful future at the Hawthorns.
But the form did not last and after falling out of favour with Pulis again, Ideye’s only appearance this season was in the Capital One Cup clash with Port Vale, when he was substituted after 57 minutes.
The deal for him to join the Greek side was completed in time for him to be registered for their Champions League squad.
