The D’Tigress will again face France after they were paired in Group B of the 2022 Women’s World Cup. Nigeria defeated them last month during the qualification tournament for the World Cup.

Aside from the Europeans, the defending African champions will also battle Serbia, Japan, Canada, and Australia when the tournament, billed for Australia, tips off in September.

In Group A, China, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Korea, the US, and a team to be decided (after Russia was suspended), will do battle.

Four teams from the two groups will play in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Nigeria’s best outing at the competition was a last 8 appearance in Spain in 2018.
