President Muhammadu Buhari, today, shocked members of the Federal Executive Council when he arrived council’s chamber 10 minutes before the scheduled time for the meeting. The meeting was scheduled to commence by 10.00am but President Buhari arrived at 9.50am.
Only 19 out of 36 council members were in the council chamber when the President walked in and started the meeting with the singing of the national anthem.
The Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita; and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, were also in attendance.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari; National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; and Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, Khadija Bukar Abba arrived the chamber at 9.55am. Some other ministers however arrived after the 10am scheduled take off time.
