Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Ifeanyi-Ubah has commenced renovation work at its home stadium in Nnewi, Anambra State ahead of commencement of 2016 season.
The renovation project, according to the club management, is geared towards upgrading the stadium facility to an international standard as part of the club’s quest to qualify and compete in the continental championships after next season.
The club is also battling to avoid being relocated to another city for its home matches if the League Management Committee (LMC) finds its stadium below league standard. The league organisers has already warned that any stadium that does not meet its standard specifications would be banned from hosting league matches.
Expectedly, the FC Ifeanyi Ubah International stadium management has assured that the stadium will be upgraded in time to meet the LMC requirements ahead of the new season.
