After German pundit, Florian Plettenberg, claimed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will definitely join Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the summer, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has given an update stating that the Bavarians are yet to begin any kind of ‘concrete negotiations’ for a new striker ahead of the summer window.
According to Romano, the Napoli striker’s situation won’t be confirmed until the end of the campaign.
Osimhen has been in scintillating form for the Italian outfit this season, scoring 25 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions to help Spalletti’s side sit 14 points clear in the Serie A table and reach the Champions League last eight.
As such, it’s far from surprising to see and hear the amount of interest coming from top European clubs for the Nigerian.
While it is highly believed that the forward would be departing the Italian outfits at the end of the season with Manchester United believed to be his possible destination, Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in signing the striker in light of their clear need for a top centre-forward following Robert Lewandowski’s departure.
However, Romano in an interview with Caughtoffside said that the future of Osimhen would be decided at the end of the season.
“Bayern are just exploring the strikers market, it’s not time for concrete negotiations yet,” Romano told Caughtoffside.
