Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski, has admitted that playing alongside Argentina captain Lionel Messi would be a “dream” before he hangs up his boots.

Lewandowski, however, admitted that it is not up to him for Messi to return to Barcelona in the near future.

Messi has been linked with a return to Barcelona in recent weeks, although club president Joan Laporta has admitted that it would not be realistic.

When asked about a potential Mesis’s return to Barcelona, Lewandowski told El Mundo Deportivo: “It’s not up to me.

“Of course, we see that now he plays more like a ‘playmaker’, maybe he scores fewer goals and gives more passes to his teammates, although he continues to score them.

“But compared to other times, he is now the footballer that any striker would dream of playing alongside him.”
