Nigeria and other countries who have submitted bids to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will know their fate this month.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF), according to reports, will make an official announcement on the country that will host the competition on September 12.
Nigeria and neighbour, Benin Republic submitted a joint bid to host the biennial competition.
Other countries who are in contention to stage the competition are; Morocco, Algeria, South Africa and Zambia.
The original host Guinea was stripped of the hosting rights after it failed to meet with standard requirements demanded by CAF.
Cote d’Ivoire will host the next edition in January 2024.
