Players and officials of Barcelona and Juventus football clubs have arrived Berlin, Germany for the epic final of UEFA champions league finals scheduled for Olympia Stadium on June 6.
The Spanish and Italian champions are in Berlin not just to win the prestigious European football’s ultimate prize, but also to end the season as treble winners.
Juventus were runaway victors in Serie A and also claimed the Coppa Italia, while Barcelona clinched the La Liga titles as well as the Copa del Rey.
Victory for any of the teams would put an icing to what has already become a glorious season, and both teams are reportedly ready for the epic battle. The Catalan giants arrived Berlin with unprecedented confidence that the trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar Junior and Luis Suarez would deliver the La Decima, its fifth title in the club’s history and put the club back to the summit of European soccer table.
The Old Lady of Turin, on the other hand, are looking forward to using the UEFA Champions League final triumph to re-establish themselves as a European soccer giant having worked their way back to the top following the Calciopoli scandal in 2006.
With both teams parading hugely talented and experienced superstars, Berlin could provide a battle ground to test the superiority of the Spanish and Italian football once more. And the winner takes home, not just the prestigious trophy but a record of finishing the season with a treble.
