Former champions of the African Cup of Nations, Algeria, have crashed out of the tournament after losing 1-0 to Mauritania on Tuesday night.
Captain Mohamed Dellash Yaly scored after 37 minutes for the underdogs, who will fill one of four places reserved for third-placed finishers in the group stage.
