Abdulrasheed Bawa, the head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has been placed on indefinite leave by President Bola Tinubu.
Willie Bassey, the Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), stated this in a statement.
The statement said the President’s action followed allegations leveled against Bawa. He has been directed to hand affairs of the Commission over to the Director of Operations.
Bawa was one of the several guests at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he held a meeting with President Tinubu.
