Uganda head coach, Jackson Mayanja insists his team is ready to take on the Flying Eagles in their quarter-final clash at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
Mayanja was in buoyant mood as he addressed the media ahead of the game that will be played at the Suez Canal Stadium, Ismailia.
The former Al Masry midfielder guided his team to first position at the CECAFA Championship last year and is hoping to do same thing in Egypt.
The Flying Eagles are no doubt favourites to win the game going by their pedigree.
Mayanja is however unperturbed with the quality of players in the Nigerian team and their past achievements in the competition.
The gaffer has backed his players to do the job on the pitch.
“We’re very prepared as a team and this is the most important time for my team to make sure we achieve our goal and all the players are in good condition they’re very fine,” he declared.
“I have always said it and I will say it again here. What I want to achieve with this team is to qualify for the World Cup.”
