A detachment of the Nigeria Police is having fisticuffs with June 12 protesters at the Gani Fawehinmi Park Ojota as the protesters have refused to leave the park which our reporters say may turn ugly if poorly managed. It could be recalled that the Lagos Police Command warned yesterday that it has neither received any application for protest nor approved any form of protesting urging Lagosians to stay at home, but organisers of the protests insist they are exercising their fundamental human rights.
As at the time of filing this report, Policemen are still trying to force protesters out of the Park.
