The Imo State Police Command has refuted the report of alleged attack on the Imo State House of Assembly.
There was an earlier report in the social media that the assembly complex was set on fire on Sunday by unidentified persons. But Orlando Ikeokwu, spokesman of Imo State Police Command described the online video, showing the assembly complex under fire, as false. According to him, the building, which was on fire in the social media, was neither the state house of assembly nor any building in Imo.
The Imo State Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba, has also denounced report. He said the reported fire outbreak at the Imo Assembly was untrue.
