Former governor of Gombe State and current Senator representing Gombe South Senatorial District, Danjuma Goje has been expelled by the Gombe State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) over allegations of anti-party activities and forming parallel executive in the state.
Goje’s expulsion was disclosed by Gombe State APC Chairman, Magaji Doho at the party secretariat in the state on Tuesday. “We have expelled Goje from the APC because of his activities, disloyalty and going contrary to the constitution of the party,” Doho said.
“Having gone through the rigours of campaigns and the 2015 general elections, some of our members, led by Senator Danjuma Goje, have decided to have parallel state executives of the party. Secondly, Goje, is grossly involved in anti-party activities and we have, therefore, decided to expel him from the party from the first day of July, 2015, to instil discipline in our great party”, he stressed.
Senator Goje, a former chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is yet to respond to his purported expulsion from the APC.
