Four Nigerian referees have been shortlisted by the Confederation of African Football to officiate in the forthcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers between Congo and Eswatini on November 12.

According to the continental football body, Joseph Ogabor, will serve as centre referee for the game at the Stade Alphonse Massamba Debat in Brazzaville.

Ogabor will be assisted by compatriots Samuel Pwadutakam (assistant referee 1) and Efosa Igudia (assistant referee 2), while Lagos-based Quadri Adebimpe will serve as the reserve referee for the game.

Cameroonian Alim Aboubakar is the match commissioner for the game, while Chadian Waldabet Koissoual is the referee assessor.

The quartet is Nigeria’s only referee representatives in the games that would be played between November 11 and 14.

Three other Nigerians have also been selected to serve as match officials and referee assessor for other AFCON qualifying games.

Nigeria Football Federation Secretary-General, Sanusi Mohammed, will serve as match commissioner for the Ghana versus Sudan clash at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Cape Coast, Ghana, while Chukwudi Chukwujekwu is the referee assessor for the Ivory Coast and Madagascar tie, and will be assisted by Okey Obi.
